Boylant – “Orange Dream”

Boylant

Boylant is Reed Parker, a multi-instrumentalist from Saugerties, New York, and we can only cross our fingers and hope that his debut album will be called Boylant Green. From this fetching moniker Reed’s songs emerge as instrumental noise pop; ostentatiously well-crafted and unabashedly lo-fi bedroom recordings. They’re noticably driven by heavy drums and guitar, sometimes fuzzy and sometimes simple, but most are sparse, gradually solidifying as they progress. Reed was good enough to send along an mp3 of his song “Orange Dream,” which is all of the above and far catchier than that might suggest to some.

Also, feel free to congratulate us on our first domestically hosted mp3. They’re a good thing.

Bon Appétit,
