Nerve City - Sleepwalker 12

Nerve City is a homespun lo-fi noise-pop project of unparalled proportions, to put it alliteratively, and downright fantastic catchy as hell ’60s-sounding awesome-pop to put it less alliteratively. Either way, his new 12″ EP Sleepwalker on Sacred Bones promises retro-pleasures and nothing like the experience of reading long narrative poems.

Here’s what Sacred Bones had to say:

Awash in the whips and twangs of a spring loaded reverb tank and faint hints of a distant drum kit, Nerve City’s hook-driven songs recall the hard-charging down-strokes of the Velvet Underground’s more driving moments or, more recently, the psychedelia of West coast kindred spirits in Sic Alps and the Gris Gris.

Nerve City – Sleepwalker

It’s now available for a manageable $12 preorder way down south at Sacred Bones, the classiest purveyor of musical weird outside of Australia.

Ground,

Dwight
