Hunter Mack of Gold Robot Records just let me know that he and Graham Hill of Roman Ruins are beginning to collect funds for a collaborative art/music project via Kickstarter. Here’s what they have to say about it:

PASTOR/AL is a collaboration between a musician (Graham Hill / Roman Ruins) and a visual artist (Hunter Mack) with aspirations of producing a vinyl record and an archival art print. The basic premise is as follows: Hunter produces a painting and gives it to Graham, Graham crafts a song based on the painting and gives it to Hunter, Hunter creates a painting based on the new song – then the process repeats itself. It’s an artistic version of the childhood game ‘Telephone’!”

Backers receive a pretty groovy range of items, from a digital download of all the songs produced in the collaboration at $5 all the way up to one of Hunter’s original paintings, a print, colored 7″, and digital download for $350.
