Cough Cool - Buy Some Dust

This past Sunday, Bathetic Recods released their sixth cassette, a limited edition from from Pennsylvania’s Cough Cool. Cough Cool makes droning, sometimes loud, lo-fi pop; intimidating but engrossing. In the immortal words of Martha Stewart, as I recently said to Dan Svizeny of Cough Cool, “It’s a good thing.” The artwork on the cassette – a collaboration between Dan and artist/musician “James Nascent” of Brighton – is pretty gorgeous as well, even if the resolution on the above picture doesn’t seem to do it justice.

Among the handful of releases from Cough Cool over the next year, look for a CD single on Royal Rhino early next spring – more info on that later this month – in addition to another handful of 7″ singles and cassettes.

Cheers,

Dwight
