Designed Entropy I

This Thursday, Hunter Mack, the proprietor of Gold Robot Records, let me know that his newest release was up for pre-order. The first in a 7″ mini-compilation series titled Designed Entropy, the new record features songs from Meanest Man Contest, Roman Ruins, Copy, and Bomarr. Hunter says this of the first installment in Designed Entropy:
“The first entry in the Designed Entropy series features exclusive tracks by 4 different artists inspired from a common starting point. As a cohesive unit, this EP explores the relationship between design, structure, and humanity. Suggested reading to accompany the listening experience: “Atlas of Novel Tectonics” by Jesse Reiser.”
Oddly enough, for an album with four contributors who, so far as I know, did not coordinate with one another in any way, “this EP” really is a “cohesive unit,” conceptually and musically. As is the case with all Gold Robot 7″ releases, Designed Entropy I is just $5 and sports some gorgeous packaging – I highly recommend grabbing a copy.
